Program Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and supervise the implementation of support plans in conjunction with the people supported and all members of the Support Team. These supports include:
    • CSSP Addendums
    • Program Abuse Prevention Plans
    • Individual Abuse Prevention Plans
    • Outcome development and implementation, assessments
    • Positive Support Transition Plans
  • Implementing proactive procedures and outcomes when working with individuals with challenging behaviors
  • Provide Program Coordinators with guidance in executing daily operations of each group home within the community
  • Act strategically to develop and implement programmatic supports across the organization
  • Supervising and providing development to Program Coordinators including:
  • Training
  • Monitoring competency and performance
  • Providing developmental feedback and coaching
  • Assist with County, State, and Federal licensing reviews as requested and, Maintaining compliance with licensing standards of the company, county, state programs
  • Manage emergency situations according to company and site policy.

Requirements:

  • Must have experience working with people who have developmental disabilities and/or related conditions.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a team.
  • Meets Direct Coordinators requirements of one of the following:
    • A baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
    • An associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
    • A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; or a minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; and
    • Four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in clauses (1) to (3).
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record and insurance
  • Meet and pass DHS background study as required by State of MN.
