Northeast Residence, Inc. (NER) is hiring a Program Manager at one of our group homes in the White Bear Lake surrounding area. We hire individuals who are caring, dependable and passionate about helping adults with developmental disabilities. At Northeast Residence, those team members who are the most successful are those who will support people to live their lives by meeting their emotional, physical, and medical needs. The support will include teaching independent living skills, personal cares, and promoting healthy choices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implementing of support plans for people served who live in the home including...
    • CSSP Addendums
    • Program and Individual Abuse Prevention Plan
  • Monitoring and/or performing daily operations of a group home including....
    • Finances – keeping track of individual's petty cash, bank runs, assisting folks with paying bills, etc.
    • Medical – keeping track of individual's medical needs and appointment calendars, scheduling appointments, accompanying individuals to their appointments, ordering medications, ordering medical supplies, etc.
    • Activities – signing individuals up for activities that they are interested in, keeping the program calendar up to date, communicating with team re: plans, etc.
    • Shopping – purchasing groceries and supplies for the program.
  • Maintaining compliance with licensing standards of the company, county, state programs
  • Supervising Direct Support Professionals assigned to the home including...
    • Scheduling
    • Training
    • Monitoring competency and performance
  • Manage emergency situations according to company and site policy.

Requirements:

  • Must have experience working with people who have developmental disabilities and/or related conditions.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a team.
  • Meets Direct Coordinators requirements of one of the following:
    • A baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
    • An associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
    • A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; or a minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; and
    • Four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in clauses (1) to (3).
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record and insurance
  • Meet and pass DHS background study as required by State of MN.
