Position Summary: The Live-In works under the supervision of the Program Coordinator or Program Supervisor and is responsible for overnight staffing of the site from Sunday night through early Friday morning. The Live-In is responsible to assist the people supported at the site in emergency or unexpected situations and must demonstrate competence in all areas of service provision.

This position is a paid asleep position which includes your own one bedroom apartment in the lower level of the house. Half of the garage is also included for parking.

Duties, Requirements, and Responsibilities:

  1. Be immediately available to assist the people supported at the site during the overnight as needed. Document any issues/concerns/assistance provided during the overnight in Adaptive and communicate with Program Coordinator or Program Supervisor.
  2. Be familiar with and carry out the policies and procedures of Northeast Residence, Inc. Work through established channels of communication. Follow site policies.
  3. Attend and participate in mandatory monthly staff meetings and any other required site or company in-services. Complete any required training by company and licensing policies within given timelines.
  4. Maintain the facility according to health, safety, and licensing regulations. Make the living quarters available for inspection as requested. Store personal items only in acceptable areas.
  5. Role model for the individuals supported at the site at all times. Practice respectful interactions with others. Communicate with others in a professional manner at all times. Consistently follow HIPAA and data privacy regulations and policies. Communicate the need for ongoing support and training with the Program Coordinator or Program Supervisor.
  6. Supervise any Live-In guests and make sure NER Guest Procedures are followed.
  7. The Live-In is responsible for morning emergency staffing issues and may be required to work direct support shifts until relieved by the Program Coordinator or Program Supervisor.
  8. Perform other duties as requested by the Program Coordinator or Program Supervisor or possibly the Executive Director or Director of Operations for Long-term Care.


Education, previous experience, employment, and volunteer service will all be considered in determining qualifications. Candidates are expected to demonstrate dependability, a desire to work with people, and respect for individual differences.


Overnight Live-In hours follow the site staffing pattern and are based on the needs of the individuals supported at the site.
